...when the sewing machine came into popularity in the middle of the 19th century, it caused a boom in textile production. In Gloversville, New York, the main product of the textile industries was fine leather gloves. 20 years later, there were 116 glove and mitten manufacturers, and the Fonda Johnstown & Gloversville Railroad was constructed to haul their products out to market. What would it be like to experience the railroad 80 years later, in a simulator? We'll find out in this review...at the railyard!

Excellent review, Nick. This is a great route which covers a way of life accomplished by a few engines, some freight cars, and many people who were dedicated to the cause.

Great review as always Nick! And this is the first route I tried of Pauls way back on my wee Toshiba Win2k, P3 lappy. Needless to say, it wasn't smooth like your video is. ;) It's a cute route for sure, and Paul's attention to detail is amazing. Hopefully you may review his 'Thousand Island Route', which is small - but amazing depiction. And I'm currently infatuated with his Dominon & Atlantic Route now, which is early 70's east coast railroading at it's best IMHO.
Paul's routes are really intense on the graphic cards still, but his accuracy and prototype depiction makes them worth it! :oldstry:
