Well with a title like that it has to be good right? :p well, here it goes.

i just got my copy of the CM pack by jon davis (available at Vscale creations) and i saw the cute little 0-6-0 so i just had to do a repaint, and here it is...

comments please!!! note the star on the number plate, i've seen something like it in pictures of old steamers, so i put it on there...

Nice job. Looks like a "5-spot" to me since that phrase was usually associated with engine numbers and nearly always of single digit number. You may be referring to the fact that she is a 6-coupled loco (0-6-0), eh what? :p

"Old Star" would also be a good title for her. :p

Neat little loco. I've always liked the slope-back tender on switchers.

Baldwin built a little 2-foot gauge 2-6-0 for the Laurel River & Hot Springs RR that had
a star plate. The LR&HS RR couldn't pay for her, so she went to the Sandy River RR
as their 2nd #3. They called her 'Old Star', even though she was brand new. Kept the star plate until the Maine Central Waterville shop rebuild it into a 2-6-2 in the mid-teens.

Whoa!!! Stop the Super Chief!

Where (in the world) did Mr. Herb (our Official ATSF / D&RGW / RGS authority) Kelsey
EVER hear of Sandy River 2nd #3?

There isn't 1 in 1000 railfans that've ever HEARD of the Sandy River!

Could our Herb be a closet 2-foot fan??? Nah!!!

Here's another shot of "Old Star"
(thanx to Peter Barney and Tim Mulina)
