I've just rediscovered Al Krug's web site and thought I'd pass along a link for those who don't know about it.

He provides plenty of real world data on north american train performance. There's good theoretical explanations, but also plenty of real world examples from his own experience as a loco engineer. He provides operational data for a number of locomotives in terms of theoretical performance as well as actual performance - even photographing control panel gauges in some cases. His real world data points provide a great reference for us to check our Open Rails physics performance against what he's experienced under real operating conditions.

Thanx Wayne ! There's a multitude of information there - a lot of things that aren't openly available unless you really know what you're looking for . A great find .
Much appreciated .

Love reading about the Krug, thanks for reminding me of the site. Just had to give that SP&S 700 story another read!
