Has anyone here installed any of Tim Muir's PE passenger electrics? I recently obtained several different models from the ET library and all of them have weird behavior in reverse -- the axle out force toggles between positive and negative values. The consist usually never really gets going. Forward is fine.

I don't know if this is something odd in the .eng file, the wheel slip code of OR, some combination of the above, or simply an installation error on my part. They're some of the best models I've ever seen so I'd like to get them set right. I'd appreciate it if someone else could let me know if they are they're acting weird in reverse on your installation of OR.

FWIW, I just ran all of the above in OR on my ficticious PE (Lucas Lusser's Downtown Trolley, originally) and had no problem with backing up.

Hmmm. Wonder what I'm doing then....

Just to be sure... I drove forwards for a bit, braked to a stop, lowered the trolley pole, raised the rear pole, used the keys to go from forward to reverse, released the brakes, and tried to accelerate. No joy.

I don't know what's happening with your PE's, Dave. I just tried it too with a pair of 950's on an old copy of the PEW. I was able to reverse using the same process you described.
