The Swedish class E was the prominent freight hauler in the steam years, this staunch 0-8-0 was built in 130 units between 1907-1920 and worked trains across the country from Scania to Kiruna. The majority were later rebuilt with an extra pilot truck and redesignated as the class E2, the last engines of these two classes working right down to the end of steam. Quite a few are preserved both nationally and abroad pulling excursion trains.
This engine's based on our local class E #1153, but given a different number.
