...while both the eastern and western regions of North America have been well covered in Microsoft Train Simulator, very few midwest routes exist. Railroads like the Elgin Joliet & Eastern and Rock Island have rolling stock but no route. Can the fictional LaSalle, Rockford & Central give midwestern railroads a home?

Certainly enjoyed that review. :yahoo: The LRC is one of my favorite routes next to the Monon. Right now I'm checking out the Birmingham Route to see if it can be used for midwest railroading.

Obviously I love Midwest Railroading. :good2: Does it show??

I suppose if you don't live here why not? As for the EJ&E one of the greatest things about it was how many other railroads it interchanged with. Same thing with the IHB and Chicago Belt. I actually started the EJ&E route but it fell by the wayside, for a couple of reasons, one of which is no suitable Baldwin center cabs suitable for it. Personally I could not run the J with out one.

CGW121 your words are so true about the EJ&E Baldwin's. I wish I had the talent to create one in MSTS. I also had started the MSTS EJ&E route being I was raised as a teen in the 1960s in Chicago Heights, IL. The entire route I was developing was based upon the Chicago Heights area back in the 60s to include the IC, C&EI (Mopac), B&OCTT and the Michigan Central (NYC). Everything was going find until I had suffered a computer problem, transferred the entire route to a CD and then somehow the CD grew legs and just disappeared. Just maybe someday in the near future I might attempt the project again.

Fantastic review yet again Nick! You always astound me how you make routes look so tempting. And this is certainly a tempting route. ;)
