I have played with these files from BLLW for last couple of nights. I have found that if you open the file with shape file manager and go to edit .s file, under that find the animations at the end of the file and edit

linear_key ( 1 -0.014 2.3 6.73 ) If you want no crew you can leave it as is or change 'linear_pos' to 1 and delete 'linear_key ( 1 -0.014 2.3 6.73 )'. To show the crew change 'linear_pos' to 1 and delete 'linear_key ( 0 -0.014 2.3 4.5 )'

Your quit welcome. As a side note this is for OpenRails as they show the crew in shape viewer and msts as originally written.
