Running Monson in OpenRails I am not getting any engine chuff. There is a stationary steam sound. But no Chuffing when the locos move. They have it in MSTS.

I have had low or no sound with diesels but managed to play with the files and get sound. Not with Monson.

Harold:

We did not test the Monson in OpenRails, so I don't know what will and will not work at this stage of OR development.
Perhaps one of the OR Team can comment on this.

It is a really great route in OpenRails. Was running around all over the place and noticed something was missing. Can live without the chuff.

ENG sounds are configured in the .sms file ... same place for steam & diesels. I would bet there's some WARNINGS in the OR log file about problems reading the sound file.

There aren't any .sms references.

HeadOut ( 1.32m 2.21m -1.07m )

OpenRails doesn't like the values

Line 139 is blank; the HeadOut is Line 138

I am getting the HeadOut on 139 and OpenRails says it cannot parse the 1.32m and it is only a warning. I have locos run fine with the same warnings.

The 'm' is not necessary in the head-out line. MSTS and OR presume that the units are metric meters.
