This may be a dumb question but how does one uncouple? I suppose its related but the f9 key, train operations window, does not work. It displayes maybe the first 5 cars but I cannot select or in any other way move or do anything with it. I attached the log, any other files I would need to attach? Also what directory, or where is the best place to install Open Rails? I have it in "C:\Documents and Settings\Michael\My Documents\Downloads\openrails\MenuWPF.exe"

Thanks

Hold down the U key and double-click the mouse pointer on the coupling.

No, not the coupling in the F9 window, the actual coupler on the car you want to uncouple. For what it's worth, my F9 works just fine: Scrolls, uncouples and everything it is supposed to do. You might try a reload.

I haven't looked at OR since version 0.4. I AM impressed! :bigboss:

Ok will try that, but I cannot get the f9 window to work at all nor can I move up and down the train. the alt and keypad key combonation will not move except to toggle front and rear of the train.

Are you using a fairly common keyboard or an oddball? Also, if you happen to have inadvertently switched from full screen to windowed mode (i.e., not aware you made this change), I don't think the software responds to the keyboard in the later mode until after you click once on the screen to activate the OR window. That looks like things from the keyboard just don't work.

Also, there is no best place to install Open Rails, it'll work where ever you put it. I use ...\program files\Open Rails.

The keyboard does not control the F9 window, use the mouse.

It was the full screen issue. I checked the box and it worked fine. The F9 window worked flawlessly. Thanks for the help.

I think the things that are going on (at least at 1920x1200 resolution), is that (1) the window is not initialized as having focus AND the MS window frame is mostly outside of viewable area of the screen... as-if the application area is 1920x1200 and (2) the MS window frame is n pixels beyond that. The former is probably just an oversight in the code but the later, gee, you'd think that the provided MS functions for screens would do that correctly.
