MSTS 1940's Grocery Store
Could be stretched to include the 1960's
Mesh©2011 by Tim Muir.

What was once a common sight in almost every neighborhood in any town or city across the USA, the "ma and pa" grocery store. Upon entering, one would be greeted with the smells of farm-fresh produce, fresh ground coffee, and freshly cut meats from the full service meat counter, with the added scent of sawdust spread over the floors where the meat cutters plied their trade. Ah, I'm there! I hope you can find a place for this slice of nostalgic Americana somewhere on your pike.

Simply beautiful - sir - my favorite era - LOL - wish I could build routes...

You've been rolling them out lately...

Indeed! :bigboss: I think I'll make a home for this right away on Paul Charlands 1000 Island RR route.

Scott - have you checked out Paul Charlands work? Many great small routes around NY state set in the 40's. No need to build, just grab Pauls stuff. :oldstry:

Maybe we can convince Tim Muir to do some 1950s era delivery vehicles,
suitable for the carspawner, for the grocery store and the other stores
he recently uploaded.

Thanks, Guys, for your kind comments, i'm glad you like the old store. It's yet another re-hashed repaint of the original "Brownie's Auto Glass" shop I did 3 years ago (today!), which has seen maybe a dozen reincarnations since ;)

As for 1950's delivery vehicles, that probably wont happen, at least anytime soon. I'm more inclined to model 1939 to 49 era. I did make a few 1940's Coca-Cola route trucks, Autocars and Whites, in the vehicles section. It's not a bad idea, though, one that maybe someone else might think about.
