Installation:
Unzip to a temporary folder. Move the contents to your route folder, overwriting when prompted. Copy and paste these lines To your route's .REF file and save:

Pickup (
Class ( "<PICKUP OBJECTS>" )
Filename ( np_bl_water_tank.s )
PickupType ( _FUEL_WATER_ )
Description ( NP_Branch_Line_Water_Tank )
)

Then...

Open the Route Editor.

Place the water tank by clicking the mouse over the track center-line where you want it, away from switch nodes. Rotate if needs be to align with track. Save and exit the RE. Try operating the tower in the sim by pulling your locomotive tender adjacent to the spout so that it lines up with the tender's filler. Depress the "T" key to actuate the spout's animation sequence. Pressing Shift+T holds the spout down. Don't hold it too long or you might have to go to the bathroom (the sound of water rushing out the spout can be suggestive ;o) ).

Tim,
MSTS really needs water tanks and coaling towers. This really looks great although most of us think of heavy wood support. It can fit at home on many routes.
