Man, that's a beauty, Philip! You're doing a great job on this project! Have you considered Marc Nelson's steam loco smoke mod? It adds more texture to it, here:

No, I haven't. I'll try it out later. I usually run only oil burners though, so the smoke here looks pretty realistic, other than the fact that there is so much of it. Usually properly fired oil burners don't produce so much smoke, except during sanding down, to remove mineral deposits in the flues.
