Here some screen shots of McCloud River's Baldwins doing what they do best, hauling logs and lumber. Picture No.1 shows No.29 hauling logs west to the mill in McCloud. Pictures Nos.2 and 3 show a typical McCloud freight grinding up the grade on the southern flanks of Mt. Shasta to the interchange with the Southern Pacific at Mt Shasta. The shots were taken on the Feather River Route on the NCE between Greenville and Almanor. I felt the scenery in that area substituted well for the backwoods country the McCloud runs in, all that's really missing is the red cinder ballast that dominates the ROW of the McCloud. :pleasantry:
