Hi,
What is the name of this type of car. There is also a very similar car with a center wall, or beam to it. What are these types called, officially?

I believe they are simply flat cars with sides at each end. I could be wrong though.

Those bulkheads prevent loads from moving laterally along the axis of the wagon.....such as pipes, etc. Train movement, such as acceleration and deacceleration can shift loads to some degree, depending on the forces at work.
