This is the shay d class loco in trainsim.com. I repainted it to look like the scrapped GC&E shay14.

One of the most fascinating and rewarding aspects of train simming for me, as a modeler, is resurrecting long gone locomotives. Or giving a boost to some not yet quite extinct locomotive, maybe sitting unloved and forgotten on the dead line.

That's right. I think since it is a 4truck shay that it would look best if it was painted to look like 14. Plus the locomotive looks identical to the shayD class loco. Still I wish I could get the diamond stack on it. To bad :good:

You can fit a new stack over the old one....by using FreightAnimation. You are not altering the original shape file, then.

The stack is a separate model, with texture, which can be added via an entry in the loco's ENG file.......but the correct size and coordinates are required so the stack is exactly placed to cover the old stack.
Can you send me the locomotive's original ZIP file and I'll see what I can do? I don't need to alter any part of the original locomotive.

Yah. I can. So freight animation is not a program, it is something you do to the locomotive. :thumbup3:

Yes, you require a model of the new stack, the texture, then add a line to the ENG file. However, there's no stack model yet.
