SS ROCHESTER
Erie and Lackwanna Steam Tug Boat

Steam Tug 1930 era

Model by Jonatan Grönoset
Assistance with Edits by Wayne Campbell
New Textures and Design by Chris Gerlach (CrisGer)

This tugboat displays the livery of the Erie and Lackwannaz Railroad and was typical of the tugs used by the EL RR moving car floats and other shipping in the New York Harbour for the RR.

Such tugs were steam powered and used commonly throughout maritime commerce in the US between 1890 and 1960 when Diesel powered tugs took over. Most of the old steam tugs ended up in the boneyards off of Staten island, and a few remain as museum ships today.

This model was created by Jonatan and he kindly allowed the retexturing and created a corrected shape file to allow the correct placing of the logo for the tugs of this type.

This model is intended for any early 1900s to 1950 harbour for MSTS and OR and is not for commercial use of any kind. The ship has night lighting and functioning running lights.

No liability is assumed or given.
