RI recieved 2,500 cars from AC&F, Laconia Car and Mt.Vernon Car Co's, between 1919 and 1920. Cars were re-sheathed in wood in the 1930's, and some re-sheathed in steel in 1937, but most of the fleet remained double-sheathed into the 1960's.
