This is not an easy post or announcement to make, but unfortunately it must be done.

This post applies to all members who have recently joined or who have not been active in the forums and any future members.

This does not apply to long established members who have contributed to the success of Elvas Tower with their posting, content contributions or their donations.

Recently there have been some newly approved members filling forum topics with GARBAGE responses to posts.

In some cases; just adding a number or a smiley as a reply to a topic. Others start posting "That's my favorite (whatever)" as responses.

This conduct by any newly registered member is viewed as an attempt to build post counts to access more files from the File Library.
If you want to download more files that you are allowed each and every week, make a donation. Do not start filling the forums with useless, garbage posts.

Those people are now permanently FIRED from the ranks of Elvas Tower.

If you are thinking of joining or have recently joined, this notice applies to you.

You will find a new link at the top of the page to Forum Conduct

I have enabled the WARNING SYSTEM for all members in the New Hire, Switchman and Dispatcher groups. All other groups are exempt and not included in the WARNING SYSTEM.

Each and every post on the system has a REPORT this post button associated with it. Don't hesitate to use this if you see some new member posting a meaningless comment to a topic.

Number of downloads: 50

Moderators and Admins will FIRE any member who reaches a total of 3 warnings. Once a warning has been set, it remains forever and does not disappear with time. 3 STRIKE AND YOU ARE OUT.

Each and every Admin and Moderator will view each offending post as one strike. Make 3 meaningless or offensive posts, you are history.

This is a sad turn of events, but I completely support Bill in this. We even had one individual who was POSTING NUMBERS to keep track of his post count (he is no longer with us).

It's pretty easy to tell the contributors from the leeches. We'll stay on top of it.

Its a shame that some people do stuff like that. It does not get that serious. Maybe school starting back up will cool the forums down some. Dont want to see this site turn into a battleground like some of the other forums have.

This place has certainly been growing in popularity lately, new members galore. I agree with ssw_96, I really don't want to see this place loose it's charm.

Hey bill, check your PM's when you get a chance

Why can't there be a forum category solely for useless posts? I admire you're trying to keep order, but I feel a little restricted in what I can say. Also, 3.
