An MSTS freight activity using BLW Monon and BLW/ZT C&O sets. This local freight will travel C&O, Pere Marquette, Monon and B&O trackage. Lots of waiting for AI traffic

Video excerpts of the activity are here:

And two 'blooper' videos showing what happens if you don't time your AI trains correctly.

Now THAT activity looks like fun!

I gotta' get the Monon 2 downloaded, up and running.

What sounds are you using for the rolling stock rail noise? Like it.

EDIT:

Just got back from the TS file library... found a Monon 2 v8.1 and v8... but didn't see a v2.8?

Advice?

Those were RS-11s idling during that film right? Where did you get the sound for them? It sounded kinda like a city pick up truck (Small engine) idling? IDK, anything but a big V-16 Dieseil locomotive prime mover?

Thanks,
Falcus

Andre,

V8.1 should do the trick. I think I confused the Monon 2 with the version.

The sound is from Gaetan's Alco Sound pack. It sounds great on my computer, I can't vouch for what FRAPS, DIVx Author and Youtube might do to the sound quality.

I'll definitely give a hearty "Amen!" on the quality of sound in Gaetan/Rick's pack. They are simply the best Alco sounds going in MSTS. Remember, I run Alco's daily for my bread and butter... so I sorta' know what I'm talking about.

By the time you have FRAPS, compressions necessary performed by Youtube, and such... what you see/hear at Youtube ain't always what you got on the ol' hard drive!
