Interesting beasts. The body looks a bit too smooth but I don't know much about these so that's just what my eye tells me.
What route is this?

It's my own unnamed route :p . Maybe, IF it's ever going to be completed, I'll release it.
the road texture in the last screenshot and several other textures are from Mafia, so I can't release it with the route. The vegetation is from this site: MSTS Greenery

Hi Bjorn,
The Joes look nice on your route. Thanks for posting these pics of our EF-4's. Is this going to be a dedicated Milwaukee route? If so, I have some Milwaukee overhead - catenary support structures I made for my own use, but would gladly share them.
Dave, the Milwaukee EF-4's bodies were all welded and smooth. Typical GE construction of the time. Perhaps the textures could use some "dusting", tho.

Hi Tim,
Thanks!
Sorry to say, no. It's a fictional route, based on something New Haven like. Maybe I'll repaint ( if I get the autors' permission ) some engines into fictional colors. There must be somekind of a program wich allows shapes to be changed very quickly, I think, so the catenary supports can be changed.
I made some new screenshots to.
Greetings,
Bjorn
Edit: Does anyone know why one of the cabs has the windows painted black?

Nope. Here you're getting into copyright infringement, and has been the subject of heated discourse on other forums.
The New Haven catenary was all steel and built-up, if I rememeber correctly. These Milwaukee supports are Cedar poles. Nowhere near the shapes needed I'm afraid. Sorry.

The Little Joes were originally bi-directional, with two cabs, but sometime in the 1950's, not sure when, the Road removed the controls at one end and plated-over the glass with sheet metal. Hence, the Joes had to be turned at terminals on turntables. The Pentrex Video series, The Milwaukee Road ( Electrics), shows this operation and was quite interesting. There is an earlier version of the EF-4 with the two cabs, at Train-Sim.com file library, which my EF-4's were based off of, by Frank Musick.

Okay, I see, but why did they removed the 2nd cab? Couldn't the afford spare parts for an 2nd cab?

Most likely it was a question of economics, as you say, I don't know for sure. But that is usually the driving force and reason for anything corporations do.
