In S-viewer I see, trailing truck's wheels are not rotating. However it's ok in ORTS.

I've changed smoke stack fx diameter from 17 to 27 cm
Cab view front direction to -4 -17 0

Single locomotive runs normally under official 1.5.1 version, no critical errors logged.

Cool shot!

Thanks.
The trailing wheels are "Wheels21" parented to "bogie2", a bogus bogie polygon hidden inside the ashpan. In TSM, wheels parented to a bogie don't need to have their rotation entered, it's done automatically, and won't be displayed in Shape Viewer. Wheels to which I have manually entered rotation values, like Drivers, will display rotation in SViewer. Now,
this brought up an interesting point. The other W's that do run OK on Steve's install, such as 1507, 1515, et al, have trailing wheels designated as Wheels 5 and parented to MAIN. Might have something to do with it. Seems strange neither weter nor I have that issue, though.

Steve: By the way, what version of OR are you using? I'm using 1.5.1 for testing and monogame for fun.

I suggest getting 1.5.1 so we can be on the same page. Chris needs to do the same in regards the City Point & Army Line project.

I got 1.5.1, but no dice, the wheels still all go away as soon as it tries to move.

Well, damn. OK, let me try another tack. I'll change the parenting of the trailing truck wheels to MAIN, as if it is one more pair of drivers. That's how all the W's you CAN run are parented. Why this differentiation between these models - why I did so, is lost to me. I'll get back to you.

Tim, would tender truck textures be improved later?

Uhh..yeah they arent pretty, I know. The texture map needs to be enlarged. I think it's on a tiny 256x256 map, if I remember right. The weathering came out too "bulky", if you know what I mean. It'll have to fiddle around with it, see what I can come up with.

Cool shot!

Thanks, but ... Pretty work (I mean Your model)

That explains it all: it really looks weathered, but somehow "poorly", especially besides new amazing tender sides textures.

As one plumber said: once You install a new white bath - you'll see rusty walls immediately, besides new clear bath. Definitely, you'll want new walls then as well.

Reading usual *.eng-file...
Odd for me parameter:
FreightAnim ( 1548_parts.s 1 1 )
Are digits "1 1" needed and correct?

Hello.

Yes, in this situation, yes. If you don't enter it, it won't appear or it won't appear in the right place.
It was originally invented to move coal. The first number is the level of full charge, the second is the minimum level, which cannot go below.
FreightAnim ( "375_Szen.s" 1 0.25 )

The example shows the setting of the MÁV 375 locomotive. I determined the two values using the Shape View's mover function.

Sincerely, Laci1959

Thanks: that means, without these digits, there might be an error/crash.

protection power on passenger trains

Can anybody care to explain me, what does that mean?

I've cleaned-up files.
I haven't seen any serious errors there.
But I've made train brake valve's positions more functional.
And have made regulator's handle to move 2 times faster.

LOL..yes sir, that is a problem! This old model could use a complete redo! ;)

And thank you for these two files. File work is not my forte, so any help with tweaking them is immensely appreciated. Especially the regulator speed. :thumbup3:

Protection power was a locomotive ready and able to take over for an engine that's unable to continue it's timetable run, on short notice. Usually meant for passenger trains.

The W's were also used as helpers over mountain passes.
