Motor #6 was built in 1934 at the RGS’ Ridgeway shop using the body and chassis of a Buick automobile. The front axle was removed and replaced with a 4-wheel railroad truck with 16-inch diameter wheels. The rear of the car frame was lengthened using steel channel to carry a truck-type flat-bed platform with short stakes and low sides. The rear power truck had 24-inch diameter cast wheels. The body was originally painted black but was repainted aluminum in 1936. Motor #6 underwent many changes from 1934 to 1952 which relocated headlights, added a gas tank, added a storage compartment behind the cab, and revised paint schemes and lettering.

The Motor #6 package provides six (6) different versions with year-specific details, paint scheme and lettering: 1934, 1935, 1936-38, 1942–46, 1947, 1949–52.

Note: This model is for “Open Rails” Only; it will not load/run in legacy MSTS.

Installation:

After Unzipping the “RGS Motor 6.zip” file:
-Copy the Folder “M-6-Roadmasters Truck” into the RGS Route Trainset Folder.
-Copy the contents of the “Motor 6 Consists” Folder, (13) .con files, into the RGS Route Consists Folder.
-Change Crewmen, Loads, and add/remove Snowplows by modifying the Motor’s .eng file using a text editing program, like ConTEXT or WordPad.
