I am considering to add to the existing container management also a truck trailer management. I mean what can be seen e.g. in this Youtube video starting from 3:25.
https://www.youtube....h?v=kPev1l1UBwg
I wonder whether what is shown on the video is the standard typology of gantries loading/unloading trailers.
Of course I need also a 3D developer that would generate the necessary animations for the gantry. It would be nice if the group that developed together with me the container management could contribute to this new development. Of course new forces would also be welcome.

I can adapt that crane1 I've made to have those arms to grab the trailer from the bottom. Does it sound workable for you? What nomenclature do you need for those arms? the rest is basiclly the same right?

Aldarion, that would be an important brick for the feature! I think that ARM1, ARM2, ARM3 and ARM4 are OK. To start the rest may be the same (motion along the three axes).
alifatico, those videos are very interesting. At the moment I'd not implement Modalohr, because using a crane is simpler to implement due to the similarities with container management.
What I'd like to know is also standard dimensions of trailers (both american and european).

Modern trailers in the US are usually 53' although some states still limit to 48' for non-Federal highways. 48' was the standard before that.
Box is 8.5' wide by 8'5' high, and typically 4' off the ground for an enclosed trailer(van). Unrestricted height is 13.5

Hello.
I saw two solutions.
In one, the container moves between the rail car and the road trailer.
In the other, the trailer is loaded together with the container onto the special railway car.
Am I right that the second solution is the subject of development?
Sincerely, Laci 1959
