While testing Autumn Snow for an upcoming activity I see Autumn Snow is no different then Winter.

Could this be changed to represent ground that is not frozen? The only thing that would have to be changed is replacing the rain in Autumn and Spring with Snow Flakes.

Hello, Paul.
Maybe the key is in *.env-files editing?

Are we allowed to edit the environment files now? Haven't tried in a couple of years but last time nothing changed.

Why no?
Someone wrote them initially, after all.

Did autumn+snow work properly before, and suddenly have stopped?

For exactly said reason, these files migrated from route to route many times, being occasionally edited for particular routes (not always in right way), then just copied to another. Like genetic code, which tends to be spoiled with age, causing degradation or oncogenesis.

Why not to do their revision?
Are there any manuals?

No, I think it's always been Autumn Snow was the same as winter. I don't think OR has used the old MSTS Envirofiles, it has it;s own simple version tucked away somewhere were we can't alter them, but maybe that's changed. Back when life was MSTS I use to change the Enviofiles all the time, changing moons and other things but that all stopped working in OR and just went to their default environmental setup.

About the only thing I've been able to change is the sky.

yes I agree with you Paul. Being able to change all of that stuff again would be great! You used to be able to change it by route but now its just generic for all routes.

Sorry for making trouble, I forgot that, shame on me.
But it's the reason to advance ORTS environment handling further.

No problem Weter, I'm usually working on a new route and don't come up for air for months and miss a lot of things that are new!

It would be nice if we got an official answer to this question.
