Can someone please tell me why a "Windowed" check-box appears in the opening window of the Stable. Testing and NYMG versions of Open Rails, but not in the Unstable version.

Hi David !

From what I've found so far is that if - - for example - - - you are in he Sim , running your trains etc - - You might want to receive a call or Email that you want to check on ,,, or maybe just put the Sim on hold to check on some downloads etc at the same time . Then after the distractions just resume the Sim as it was . Personally, I don't use it but that's a personal preference .
BTW - - I'm running 129 and it's there .
Just a thought !

Hobo

Yes I understates it's use but why is it not available in the "Unstable" version of Open Rails, but is available in the other versions?

It is not available in the "Unstable" version because there is the intention to remove such checkbox in the official OR versions. When the related change will be positively reviewer, the removal will take place also in the testing and later in the stable version.
I instead will keep the checkbox in ORNYMG.

If there is no check-box, how does the user switch between "windowed" and "un-windowed"?

Hold down and ALT key and press the ENTER key to toggle between the 2 modes.

The Windowed checkbox has not been removed, but moved into the new System tab.
