(This episode follows the work extra dispatched to work on the site of the derailment from the last episode.) The date is February 22, 1937.

The work extra crew tied up at Osier at 8:40 AM. Crew from Alamosa deadheaded to Osier on the westbound San Juan to replace the crew of the extra (the crew that left Alamosa were deadheaded on the eastbound San Juan to Alamosa.) After conditioning the engine, the train leaves Osier.





Soon, the train arrives at Cumbres at 1:30 PM.



After setting out the wrecker at Cumbres and turning the flat load, the 480 departs Cumbres at 2 PM, and stops at Lobato to meet the eastbound San Juan.



Soon, the 480 pulls into Chama at 3:25 PM with 1 load, 1 empty.

Just over a hour later, the 483 departs Chama at 4:40 PM with a caboose to pick up the wrecker and bad order cars.

The train rolls over the Chama River...





... and enters the Narrows.

The train rolls over Lobato Trestle...





... and passes the tank at Cresco.

The train rolled over Coxo crossing.





The train pulls into Cumbres at 5:40 PM.

After picking up the wrecking outfit, the train departs Cumbres at 5:55 PM.







After a while, the train rolls over the Rio De Los Pinos River.

The train rolls over Cascade Creek Trestle...



... and makes a stop at Osier to pick up the flat that derailed (and fitted with shop flanger changing wheels on it so that the flanges will trail Alamosa).

As the train heads east...





... it rolls through Rock Tunnel.

The train rolls through Mud Tunnel...





... and rolls through Sublette.

As the train rolls downhill...



... it rolls through Big Horn...





... and stops at Lava siding to pick up the bad order tank set out the day prior.

After the crew picks up the tank car, the train gets underway.







The train makes a stop at Antonito for orders.
