Hi !
It really seems that I'm allergic to 1.4-237 testing version...
Re-doing a casual activity on PCA (Provence-Cote d'Azur - french line), I discovered with surprise that I was roughly stopped by a null adhesion (while starting slowly, with less than 20 kN - 4.000 lbs on a 88 tons engine...) occuring in dry rail conditions, with no step, at a place where I didn't have any problem before (and where, in fact, there's no reason to have a problem...) To be sure it didn't came from anything else, I retried another activity, on another railway line, with another consist, and it was the same : after app. 1 min, adhesion becomes null, and game "crashes", in the sense that every action on commands (except Alt+F4) is inoperative.
I join a screenshot to explain this problem...
I presume I won't be the only one to get it, so, it's probably unuseful that I give my complete consist and other files...
Thanks for yoour help,
Cheers,
Jean-Paul

It's really helpful that you are finding and reporting these problems. This one sounds like a show-stopper.

The Testing Version gives you a whole bunch of changes at once, all of which have been through the Unstable Version but no one noticed an issue at the time.

Have you thought of changing your Update setting to use the Unstable Version instead of the Testing Version? That would give us an earlier warning of an issue and make it easier to identify which change was the cause.

It's still me :rolleyes:
I tried latest unstable version, with the same result. Curiously, it seems to occur just before the first curve - not when the first wheel is engaged - but just before, even if the curve is very smooth. Perhaps it's an indice ? I hope so !
Cheers,
Jean-Paul

Hi !
Last news : having redone tests with all kind of traction engines, I can confirm that the problem seems to exist with any configuration : steam, diesel, electric and railcars. It could have been an isolated phenomenon, but it's not !
Cheers,
Jean-Paul

Hi;

I am having the same problem, since upgrading to the latest testing version today. Any routes any type of traction you can go a very short distance then you get stopped dead like you've hit an invisible wall. Speed goes to NaN and the wheels of wagons/trailing vehicles disappear too. There is seemingly no way to recover the situation. Thought it was caused by turnouts or curves at first but it also happened when passing a signal on straight track. Maybe happens when transitioning from one track piece to the next?

Regards;

-Paul

Hi Dennis !
Thank you very much : it was the problem ! I remembered your post, because you had a similar screenshot with mine, but couldn't (re)find it !
Surprisingly, I'm sure this option was "ON" with my previous version, but I think that "default" option of new version was "OFF"...
Many thanks to you !
Best Regards,
Jean-Paul

Hi all;

Enabling 'Curve dependent speed limit' does indeed clear the fault.

Thanks;
