Please, don't EVER recommend anyone to use a jpg as a texture. Jpg is an awful format regarding the picture quality. It is developed to compress the picture as-much-as-possible with as much quality loss as it is tolerated for a single glance only on the picture. The format is to provide pictures for internet content as news, content seen on mobile phones with a little screen, and other low-quality media. If the picture is to be used as a texture, then find the original picture BEFORE it got converted to jpg, and use that one. Exception is the digital cameras direct output, if they can save only to jpg. But jpg cannot handle the alpha channel, so usually it needs to be converted to at least to png. And usually a texture needs further editing with other graphics tools anyway, and this editing mustn't be done using the jpg format, and an original camera-created jpg is hardly adequate for directly using it as a texture.
So even if it is technically possible, DON'T.
