You must excuse me, but I have tested the legacy GP38, that has separate throttle and dynamic levers, and that has a DYNAMIC_BRAKE_DISPLAY MULTI_STATE_DISPLAY, and I'm not able to see differences between OR 1.3 and OR 1.4.

This is because GP38 locomotives also have separate indicators for the Throttle and Dynamic Brake levers. Now, both of them work fine and this is not the problem that we are talking about here. The problem is that, when the two indicators are on top of each other (such as is the case on the Evolution Series computer screen), the Throttle Indicator is no longer visible, because the DB indicator is always visible. The game does not switch to the first frame, which is invisible, but instead remains on the "Set-Up" frame, even when the DB is off. This is the bug that was introduced some time ago and it causes problems in cabs that work the way that I just explained.

Borislav, thank you for your patience to explain. I missed the bit that the DB and throttle indicators are superimposed in this case.
Is there a freeware cab organized that way that I can download (together with the locomotive), so that I can test and maybe find a solution?

No problem, Carlo! This is something that has been bothering me for quite a while now and I am always happy to contribute to the solution. I can send you both a locomotive (a freeware model of ES44AC) and a cab (my newest Evolution Series cab) for you to test.

I am happy to report that the fix you have provided has solved the issue. The Dynamic Brake indicator now switches off when DB is off. It also works fine when the DB is activated, going from "Set-Up" all the way up to the "B8" position.

Excellent, thanks, I did not understand what was happening when I reported this in early 2020, and I did not experience the behavior in all instances of using dynamic brakes --- thanks to both Carlo and Borislav for their time and efforts...and special thanks to Borislav for the very excellent cab views.

Thank you very much for your kind words!

There does seem to be a problem with this fix after all. I don't know why, but now that I've tried it again, the DB indicators still remain on the screen when I switch the DB off. The first time I tested it everything worked fine. I don't know what is going on :) I'll try again tomorrow.

I did some more testing today and, unfortunately, the problem remains. While the Dynamic Brake indicator is not visible when I start the game, once activated I cannot seem to turn it off. Has anyone else tried the fix?

Hi Borislav,
I forgot to insert the 64-bit Runactivity.exe in the patch. Please download the new release of the patch here http://www.elvastowe...post__p__277813 and try again. Only the 32-bit version was in the original patch. Probably in the first run you had the "Run at 32bit on Win64" option checked, and so it worked.

Yes, this additional fix did the trick! Thank you very much, Carlo!
