This is kind of obscure but I found this little bank at: http://maxcommunityc...businesses.html

Here's the story.

This is the only brick building in town, it's also the only cement sidewalk in town. Curb and all.

This is how I remember it looking in the mid 60s when I went to stay with the grandparents in the summer.

Spent many a dime/quarter in this place.
I'm still working on this version.

A very interesting web site. There are a lot of ideas there for buildings, such as the first grain elevator in Max. Love that Texaco station! :thumbup3:

What was your failed experiment?

Tim,
I was trying to post a big thumbnail with a link to the full sized image.
On my end it just went to the Imgur main page asking you to login/create an account.
No biggie, just trying different stuff.
If anybody's interested here's a link to my ORTS album on Imgur. https://imgur.com/a/RW6q9Of

What I'm trying to do is insert a huge thumbnail,
https://i.imgur.com/7xESdDXh.jpg
And then insert a link so when you click on the thumbnail it shows the original size.
My monitors are 27"@1680x1050 so the original will be huge on a 17" or 19" monitor.
Trying to give a better experience.

Great shot; why you even have a mailbox in view. Nice touch! When's the next train due?

Thank you Tim.

Found this little nugget from the bowels of Wichita Falls on r/TIL.

What an interesting story and structure. Another boondoggle made good, and I'm glad to read that it has been saved on the list of historic places.

Nice modeling, Randy. :thumbup3: :thumbup3: The place cracks me up. :lol2:

Tarkio's an up and coming place, what with a new high rise and all.

How much is the rent in that three story cracker box? Looks great, Randy.

I don't know. Half of it has to be taken up by stairs.

That's where a spiral staircase would come in handy.

Hey, I stumbled upon this the other day and thought it might be of interest to you as a possible subject for a model.

There is something odd about that photo - it feels like a model or maybe photoshopped. Uncanny valley maybe.

Tim,
Do you know where that picture was taken?
Looks like something I maybe could do. You want a new one and I want an old one. Hmm.
