At Steele, the crew picks up part of a train from the day prior (wash out at MP 273 caused the train to return to Gunnison).



At Parlin, the crew picks up the rest of the train.

After that, the train continues heading east.

... it pulls into Sargent at 11:15 AM with 58 loads, 1 empty.



After 46 minutes doubling in, coaling, watering, eating, and adding the helpers (K-37's 493 and 498, with engineers Wilson and Daily), the train departs Sargent at 12:01 PM with 17 loads, 1 empty.

Soon, the train pulls into Marshall Pass at 1:50 PM.



After the helpers are decoupled and head light engine to Salida, and time to pick up 19 loads, the train departs Marshall Pass at 2:55 PM.

... it stops at Mears Junction to set out 10 loads.



After that, the train continues rolling downhill.
