I and a couple others have noticed that in some cases object and terrain textures render as solid black. There are a few different cases where it happens but for starts I've tried to isolate one such example on a route that others here will likely have.

This is SeaView5, starting a Port Pelican and looking to the right of the train. In this case, the texture is in the distant mountain terrain. The black masses are supposed to have a rocky texture to them. Log file from this same (short) session attached.

Just as a test, I wound up the 1.3 stable version and got the same issue (same route, same location).

I have seen a thread this spring here at ET, about black textures on objects. Can't remember it's title and author just for now.

I had a similar problem with the bottom edges of some rocks on a pay ware route a few months ago, can't remember which route I'm afraid. In my case I went into TSRE and moved the rocks down slightly which hid the blackness.
