Thanks for everyones help and comments.

I have now worked out how to select a route, and successfully produced and saved a map.

I am now looking at the selection of the various map details to display.

This program will be very useful to me and is much appreciated.

Mike

I see at theSteam4Me site a listing for MSTS Mapper. Is this the same one?The link shows Mapper at the bottom of the page and it's not in Russian.

Mapper is a tool that can generate a map or profile automatically from the routes track database. The finished map/profile will be shown in Mapper's window and can then be saved as a gif file. Options in Mappers window lets you include station names, mileposts and/or fuelpoints. There is also the option to add a grid in km or miles. The profile shows altitude in meters or feet when grid is selected. Input boxes for width and height lets you set the size of the generated image. When doing a map only the width value is used, height is then calculated not to distort the map.

regards,
vince

edit:add link to Steam4Me

Earlier there were 3 programs by Okrasa Ghia (an author of X-tracks) more, than 10 years back: one of them was TS Mapper. Other are Archibald and Horace.
But it was simpler and gave a bit poor result. Although it was able to draw track's profile, but ORTS track viewer's plugin works much better for that.
This MSTS Mapper was wrote by Anton Galeta from Ukraine at 2015.
He is an author of the Activity Manager shell, that can check MSTS files for syntax mistakes.
You can try it as well - here is its download page, but I am not sure to recommend it, as it is more complex, than the Mapper, but is still without an English translation. Else, it's in most quite similar with ORTS content checker, so gives less benefits, rather Mapper in compare with ORTS Track viewer.

Another program, wrote by Anton, the Net is Route backuper - it is a plugin for WinRar archiver.
Here is it's download page, if you interested.

So I just made up a simple document translating the menus and main side panel of MSTS Mapper (ver. 1.5.2, which is waht I have, but it probably works just as well for any newer ones)

Attached File(s)

What's New in further version is listed here:
Spoiler

Do you mind, I'll try to offer more exact variants?
I will give an explanations in brackets (...) and critical notes in red

File menu:
Open track database
Save processed track database (will be opened much quicker next time) not map itself
Index TSECTION.DAT (accelerates further map drawing) not *.tdb

View menu:
All looks correct

Side panel:
Map items
Gradient (=slope?)
Restricted speed zones (speedposts)
Pointers (=leading lines?)
Used tiles
Joint points of track sections not paths
Scale ruler
Sidings (парковые пути=YARD TRACKS literary)
Milepost's Figures size factor
Gradient figures size factor

Thank for this work. Looks cool!

Yeah, you can do what you want with it. You want the original Word document and images, too?

Thanks twice.
For current moment, I have done everything, that I would.
If something will change, you will know it. :)

Pair words regarding Park term:
this means a group of tracks, having common origins and purpose.
For instance: inbound, outbound, sorting, storing, passenger -parks, etc.
So particular station or yard may contain of some parks.

Thank you for the link. This looks to be a really useful utility.

Unfortunately for myself, both the readme file, and the program itself, appear to be in Russian language. Is there an English version available, or any option to change the language to English from within the program?

Thanks, Mike.

DocMartin and me are trying to compose better English manual for Mapper.
I'm offering to review and discuss every part of translated Readme file altogether, for producing the best variant of final document.
The draft version is mostly ready, so I present the first part today.
Any of your questions, suggestions, wishes or additions, are able to make the text better, so would be welcome very much here.

The variants of terms may be offered by highlighting with rose color, So please feel free to suggest better ones.

Introduction
The Mapper program is intended for viewing the MSTS route map and saving it as a graphical file of *.png-format.
You can customize the map before saving it, by selecting (picking?choosing?) different colors, hiding or showing particular elements (items?), altering font and size of titles (captions?).
It is also possible to save just a selected rectangular area of the map.

The additional function of this program is providing of various statistic and geographic data of the route, and searching of needed items by some criteria. This would be useful for evaluation and diagnostic tasks.

Features overview
It's possible to index route's track database for further fast map loading.
Once the route's track database (*.tdb-file) is opened (processed), it can be indexed and saved to the Mapper format (*.tdbx)
Then, map loading can be done by opening the *.tdbx file, and that will be much faster than loading *.tdb

To adjust Your map's design,
- Selective display of the route objects and auxiliary elements of a map is available.
- The colors of map elements, as well as size coefficients (relative size) for text of station names, kilometric signs (mileposts), and track grades can be customized.
