I downloaded & installed the 6 spanned files for the Cima Sub earlier today with no apparent problems w/either the d/l or the install. All files appear to be properly installed However, when I try to launch the sim in OR, I get a missing file error message that CIMA .trk:line3 is missing. I checked several other trk files in other routes that function properly & can see no differences between the two files, including line 3. I'm wondering if anyone else might have encountered this problem and, if so, what the fix might be. I've attached a copy of the OR Log that fully explains the error. Any suggestions are appreciated. hawk

No luck. Copied the file into my route folder & got the same error message.

Well you have some other problem, that file comes from a running route.

It seems to be pointing at the route name line?

Try this route trk file

RouteID ( XXX ), FileName ( XXX ) in the .trk, name of the XXX.trk and name of the route folder "..\Routes\XXX" must have the same name.

Sorry for the delayed response. I installed the second trk & got the same load error as before. (Log attached)
As for the names, best I can tell, they match up where they are supposed to. If you see a specific file where the names should match & they don't match, please let me know the specific location where the error is.

I'm puzzled by all of this b/c the files downloaded quite easily w/no apparent problem. Out of curiosity, I tried to launch the Route Editor for the CIMA route, & it loads properly & seems to function normally. So the problem appears to be only related to the loading of the sim itself.

Appreciate the help thus far...hawk

Hi hawk,
There's something wrong with the .trk file in your OpenRails folder - maybe that there's no space line before the 'include' line.

Why don't you attach it to your next post?

Cheers,
Ged

Derek: I just deleted the Cima file I d/l yesterday & did a complete new d/l of the 6 spanned files & placed the complete folder in my mini route. I did not change anything whatsoever, so the file remains exactly in its default form. When I try to launch the route in OR, I get the same missing trk file error as b/f. That error message reads "Orts.Parsers.Msts.STFExecption: Missing Tr_RouteFile in D:\0.1". I can also access the route in RE as b/f.
Kapitaen may be correct that the issue may be a naming inconsistency, but thus far I cannot identified where that inconsistency might be. And it is more puzzling in that the entire route is in its default form, downloaded directly from the Library.
Not sure if any of this information helps identify what's going on here, but thought I would pass it along as a point of information. hawk

Your Cima "default" trk file should look exactly like this. Make another Cima.trk file and place it within an "OpenRails" folder in the route folder ( see screenshots )The Cima.trk file in the OpenRails folder should look exactly like my last screenshot...spaces and all.

Tr_RouteFile (
    RouteID ( Cima )
    Name ( "Cima Sub" )
Description ( "The Cima Subdivision of the Union Pacific RR runs 172 miles from Daggett, CA to Las Vegas, NV. It is named for Cima Hill, one of the steepest grades anywhere in the UP system. The route includes the USMC Logistics yard at Yermo along with the Arden Yard at Las Vegas. The route connects with the BNSF Trainscon which includes the USMC Nebo Center and the east yard at Barstow." )
