Hello!

I have a problem and hope to someone can help me. I´m installed SketchUp 2020 and dont know how to instal MSTS shape exporter in this version.
Before I used SketchUp 8 Pro and exporter is working fine but have problems with textures, if model have more than 7000 poligons most of the lines on the texture were broken or deformed in some places so I wanted to try SketchUp 2020. And now I have a problem that I can't install MSTS exporter in that version because it's not like in version 8 and not have folder Plugins, only folder ifcplugin but i don´t know if will work if i put MSTS exporter in this folder. Can somebody help me with that? Thanks!

I think Sketchup 2017 is the last version that the exporter will work with.

Hi,

IIRC Hank Sundemayer explained that the Exporter plugin had to go into a folder labeled User Plugins. You might have to create that folder.

In 2023, I recommend taking the time to learn Blender.

You'll have to find your Sketchup location. It's probably in your C:\program files.
Sketchup is more than adequate for 90% of anything you want to make for OR. Anything that has an animation you'll want to use Blender.
It has too many knobs and buttons for me to wrap my feeble brain around.

Where does the 2020 Pro version expect the plugins to be located?

WRT to whether it works or not, the matter is probably all about the SU API and what functions have changed since the 2016 version.
