Is there a way to add UoM to data table headings? I dread the thought of having to add units to every one of several hundred individual numbers...

Not that I know of. I'm using a spreadsheet to construct my files and simply add the units there. It's not too hard ( though tedious) to construct a template to copy old data without UoM and output to new with UoM. I admit it can certainly be a problem. But what are hobbies for?

I thought the same: what if we would be able to define UoM for given table just once?
And I support the post #16-that seems to me the right approach.

In unstable version U2021.07.16 05:06 I have made the change to assume that dimensionless (no UoM indicated) values in the Tractive Forces and Dynamic Brake Curves are now in m/s and N force.

As suggested earlier this change should only be noticeable for users using Tractive Force and/or Dynamic Brake curves without any UoM assigned. Those tables with UoM assigned shouldn't cause any change.

It would be good if a couple of users who use these tables could do a before and after tests with the latest and previous unstable version to confirm that there have been no drastic unintended impacts.

NOTE:

i) Other tables, such as DieselConsumptionTab, etc will still remain dimensionless (ie will not accept UoM for their values)

ii) Legacy MSTS DynamicBrake parameters such as, DynamicBrakesMinUsableSpeed, will retain an assumption that dimensionless values are in mph.

Just tried driving an electric train with tractive force curves on previous version, then updating - all seems to work well on new version.

Thanks for the feedback, it looks like it is working now in line with the manual.
