Nine years have passed since I published this video https://www.youtube....CrEONu6c&t=158s .
In this video it can be seen that the camera is able to follow a detached wagon down the hump yard. This required the generation of a slightly modified OR version, that I never published, because I'm not sure that could have been accepted for official versions.
Now a content developer, who is developing a hump yard activity, asked me about this feature. So I have decided to introduce it in OR NewYear MG rev 101.
To return from the wagon following camera to the train following camera, the camera commands to select the first or the last car must be keyed in.

Carlo, may I ask this:
About a year ago, I seen a nice function, when external camera flew around whole train from end to end, but now I can't find it again. Is it still available?

Shift-Alt-1(Numkey) and Shift-Alt-7(Numkey) browse the train forwards and backwards.

Yeah, right; numpad7+register keys! Thanks for reminding, Carlo, as I couldn't find that combination at manual once again.
Though, laptop doesn't have separate numpad, but I will try. So fantastic was to fly about my train. Very nice for making presentation videos.

So I definetly like the idea to follow cars, rolling down sorting slope. One day, I tried to descend the freight train at Odessa sorting yard. Using F9 menu.
Pity, the park had no retarders, so all cars ran out of yard tracks.

With rev. 101.2 of OR NewYear MG to get the camera following a detached car on a hump yard, the Ctrl key must be pressed while clicking with the mouse on the wagon coupler in the Train Operations Window to uncouple the car. To get the camera to follow the train again, keys 2 (or 3) have to be selected. This way operation is as usual during standard uncoupling.

Hello, I suppose you mean the Odessa 1.2 route, could you tell me where the hump yard is located?
I don't know Cyrillic ...

Thanks.

Hola, Pedro!
I'll prepare a screenshot of map for you.
But i suspect, version 1.2 is not most recent, so try to search zdsi.kiev.ua for updating patch.
https://zdsim.com/msts/5
Odessa v1.2 enchanced '11.2013
https://zdsim.com/msts/5/odessa_v1_2
Patch v1.3 '06.2017 (new v1.2 is needed) i don't like new catenary models there
https://zdsim.com/ms...essa_v1_3_patch

Thanks weter, I have already downloaded patch 1.3 for version 1.2 that I already had downloaded.
Now you just need to know where the hunp yard is to prove it.

Thank you so much again

Weter: You don't know how much I appreciate it.
This afternoon I try to prove it.

So much grace

Pedro

It's the nice Rübelandbahn, that you can download from here
https://www.treinpun...a=view;down=546
or here
http://www.freeway-g...229c5085e7241f8

It requires a mini-route installation, and includes rolling stock and activities.

Hello Weter
That rolling hill (we call it that) is not real. The track builder is not a railwayman, so he could not have known that there was a 50-thousandth slope from the top of the Hill to the switches. The switches lie on a slope of 15 per thousand. The directional tracks where the cars arrive are on an ascent of 2-3 per thousand. This is called a blocking slope by track professionals.
Thousands: 1000m: 1m slope or ascent. That is, at a length of 1000 meters, the level difference is 1 meter.

Hello, Laci!
We are trying to make center of station tracks below level of both bottle throats too.
That gives two benefits:
It keeps consist's buffers compressed, so it's easier for locomotive to start heavy trains;
And, of course, it prevents cars from escape from station tracks to stretch.

Then, please tell me about Gyekenies station: the slope there (at kihuzo towards Croatian border) is not real too?
