Interestingly this bug seems to be the same as this one, as they seem to stumble at the same point in the code.
This problem is also appears related to the same piece of code.
So it may need a developer familiar with the code to investigate it.

I have just tried the Mid East Plus activity mentioned above, and I get the same problem (using the Unstable version of OR), which is the same as I reported a few weeks ago with a Wupper Express activity. I don't know how close is too close (as far as ... AI train dissolving too close ... is concerned). I just tried running the MEP activity without even starting the player train, and OR falls over at the same time and with the same problem.
I'm inclined to agree with Peter that it needs someone familiar with the code to check it out. There is undoubtedly a problem lurking somewhere.

Well it's good to know that this isn't just an issue on my end. As for the .eng files listed as broken, i don't really know how to fix them and it would seem that these issues aren't what's causing the game to crash, at least based on what others have said here. I look forward to an update that fixes this issue.
The only thing i can really say is that something has changed in the code between the Stable v1.3.1 build and the latest batch of Unstable and Testing builds. I don't recall having these issues last year running OR, so i would assume it's something more recent.

There was a missing null check. I've generated a correcting PR, and an amended Unstable Release has been generated.

Hi Carlo
Sadly, this didn't work for me. I am still getting the same crash. I attach the log file for the MEP activity, and I hope it helps narrow down the problem.

So I corrected another bug, which came oute without running the player train. Tomorrow I'll try again by moving the player train.

It appears that you are running Unstable version "U2021.07.11-2051". Carlos change would have been in a later version, so I suggest that you upgrade your version and try again.

Peter is right indeed. I was misled, because the release time was the same as the one of the release with my patch. So maybe it's still the right patch I inserted...

I'm happy to report that the MEP activity i brought up works fine after the latest Unstable build installed. I have yet to test much else as i received a virus scare after the update installed (hopefully just a coincidence) but for the moment, it seems the issue has been fixed.
Thanks to everyone for your help!!

The fix is now available also in OR NewYear MG rev.101. Thanks to MackBookPro which provided a perfect test case.
