I have a question about installing ReShade for OpenRails MG. I was watching two different videos on YouTube and one from India and other from Poland. I see that they both check all the boxes (everything) in ReShade. I thought that the file -- SCOShade.configuration settings is good enough for OpenRails MG. By the way I am using the latest version of OpenRails MonoGame ver.98 on my desktop. Should I click all the boxes with checkmark in ReShade or not. That's my question about this.

Please let me know about this and if I do have to click all the boxes then I guess that I have to reinstall ReShade or remove them to Recycle Bin. Or reinstall ReShade to overwrite the files that already in ReShade Folder in OpenRails MG.

Try them all, if you don't like it uncheck it.
You're not going to break anything.

I recently downloaded and installed the latest ORTS New Year MG version 99.1. I also installed ReShade. However I am not seeing the effects that I expected would show with ReShade installed and have a feeling that there is some configuration needed but I don't see where that is done or how to go about it. Is there a thread someone can point me to that talks about how to go about configuring ReShade? Thanks in Advance.

Old thread i know but didn't want to start a new one.

I cannot get Reshade working with either Monogame 118 or v1.4 Testing.

I have had it working with OR in the past, without any problems.

I have tried applying it to OR 64x.exe and Runactivity.exe

I am using Scott's .ini file.

I am also using it with TS2022 & Run8, without any problems.

There is a version of reshade that will not work with OR.
I'm not sure of the version. I'm using 4.8.2.

Thank you Randy, i am trying to use the latest 5.0.2.

So i guess there must be a problem.

Appreciate the reply buddy.

EDIT: Unistalled Reshade with my newer version. Re-installed using 4.8.2 and it still doesn't load when i run openrails64.exe

Perhaps, you should recheck how you install ReShade with OR... here's the thread >>> Using ReShade with OR
..and there were a few versions of ReShade thhat did not work with OR...I also cannot remember exactly which ones. I believe Carlo mentioned it in the main Monogame thread. ( I'm still using 4.7 not bothering to update -- justhttp://www.elvastower.com/forums/public/style_emoticons/default/lazy.gif )

Hi Folks,

I just updated to the latest NYMG ORTS and the latest ReShade 5.0.2 - with my shared profile.

No issues.

You need to point the installer to "OpenRails64.exe" and select DirectX 9/10/11.

Found the problem thanks Scott.

You said choose directX 9,10.11 But there isn't that option, it is either 9c on it's own or directX 10.11.12

I have been choosing 9c as i understood OR was a DirectX 9 game. Just chose the option DirectX 10.11.12 and it worked straight away.

That is using 5.0.2 plus your excellent preset, which i added HDR and SMAA to.
