Today, Amtrak turns 50, & this is a bit of a special.

It's 1972, the EB Empire Builder departs Whitefish as it begins the eastbound trek through the Rockies.

The train rolls over the Citadel Bridge, stops at Belton, & rolls through Red Eagle & Essex.

The train rolls over Nimrod Trestle, crests the summit after climbing the 1.8% grade, & stops at Glacier Park.

Soon, the train leaves Glacier Park; the train rolls over the bridge east of Glacier Park & rolls through Browning as it heads east.

drjayyyy, all you need to do is to click the 'choose file' button in a post, pick a picture of your choosing, & then click the 'attach this file' button. If you want to (& it's optional), you could click on the 'add to post' button to have the picture between the tet.



After a while, the train rolls into Cut Bank.

After the train leaves Cut Bank, it rolls through the countryside as it pulls into Shelby (the next stop on the run).

After a while, the train pulls into Havre at 11:40 AM. The train would pull into Chicago the next day.
