Hi,

I have a pc with the following characteristics:

AMD A10-5800K APU with Radeon HD Graphics 3.80 GHz
8 GB RAM
Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bits
NVIDIA GeForce 210

I can't run the TSR55 fluently, and all its commands are different from the old MSTS Route Editor. I have a route that exceeds 1600 objects per tile, so running the old editor is a risk of which I already know its consequences, I need the new editor, but it doesn't want to work. Is there a lite version? Or at least the ability to remove the carspawn preview, to try and free up RAM. Open Rails run perfectly in my PC.

Thanks.

Edit settings.txt:
- disable shadows, it can increase the performance 2-3x
shadowsEnabled = 0

- change viewing distance to MSRE equivalent
tileLod = 1
objectLod = 2000

There is only one flavor of TSRE.

In your case I would use the AMD graphics.

DDR3 ram is pretty cheap now days so double up.
The NVIDIA card is no longer viable.

"shadowsEnabled = 0" and "objectLod = 2000" is since before my post. "tileLod" was 2, now is 1 and got a little better. Thanks!!

Pd.: Buying hardware for a game is not a valid option, unless somebody give me your own wallet :good2:

Edit: When I look from above to the ground, "with the sun behind me," how do I move forward and behind? This was my most effective way in MSTS, in the new editor, I can't find that way, when I put myself in the said position, I can only move up, down, right and left, but not forward and behind.

Up and down arrow does forward and backwards for me.

What is missing are keys to do vertical movements.

Using the period key will lock your camera's elevation, hit again to unlock.
This way you can look around from a fixed height instead of diving below ground.

I'm having a similar problem. I use a gigantic route in Open Rails, which has more than 600 km (372 miles), and whenever I create activities with static trains through TSRE5 it starts to get slow. Is there a way to solve this? I would like to suggest to the TSRE team if it would be possible to insert a map, example from MSTS Editors & Tools, where it is possible to create the route activity through a map, instead of creating the route itself. This way the performance would be better, besides avoiding edits in the route scenario unintentionally.

There is no "TSRE team"...it's a one person effort. Here's the address for the TSRE Forum Goku ( creator of TSRE ) does visit here, but I would recommend posting your problem and suggestion at the TSRE forum, it would probably get a faster response.
