I am on holidays for two weeks and don't have accessed to the OR development tools, so I will look at it further when I get back.

I understand. I'm do not hurry. I'm glad you're solving with this. Have a nice holiday.

I have updated the code.

Can you please check with a number of diesels to confirm that it is resuming ok?

Is there still an issue with electric locomotives? If so can you provide me with an ENG file and consist to test against.

Unfortunately the diesel is not correctly resuming.

After save diesel with ORTSMaxTractiveForceCurves
Axle drive force is zero
Axle out force is zero
Attached Image: diesel_ORTSMaxTractiveForceCurves.jpg

other strange behavior before and after save
https://youtu.be/T-wpdzjydZ0
I make a wheel slip.
0:40min speed of wheel 188,2km/h
wheelslip oscilate about 98%(-688%/s)
conditions 30%
axle drive force oscilate
axle out force about 12kN
I set the throttle to zero, the speed of wheel decreases quickly.
1:02min increase the throttle only at 12%.The difference between speed of wheel and speed of locomotive is about 6.9 km/h.

After save I make a again wheel slip.
wheelslip about 380%(0%/s)
conditions 5%
axle drive force no oscilate
axle out force about 6kN
max speed of wheel 145km/h
3:53min I set the throttle to zero, wheel slip increases to 4633% (81% / s) and speed of wheel decreases much slower than before save.
4:31min I start to increase the throttle to 100%. The difference between speed of wheel and speed of locomotive is only 2,2 km/h.

After save diesel with ORTSTractionCharacteristics
Axle drive force is zero
Axle out force is zero

The electric locomotive save the axle force value correctly.

The same strange behavior as a diesel electric locomotive.

In all three videos, it looks as if the inertia of the axle is different before and after save and next issues.

My eng and consist

I have tried your consist and stock (cd 749) and it appears to resume ok for me.

Though I am not sure if I have set the stock and consist up correctly as I needed to edit a couple of items to get it to work. Also looking at the ENG file for the CD 749 I couldn't see any parameters for ORTSMaxTractiveForceCurves.

In the meantime I have used one of my test locomotives ( D16/2 #10203 ) which has a BASIC and ADVANCED configuration (ORTSMaxTractiveForceCurves) and it appears to resume ok for me. So it appears that it might be a specific issue with your locomotive.

For me to investigate this further, you will need to provide me with a full extract of the locomotive (lets start with the diesel one only) as it is in your setup so that I can drop it straight into my test environment without any changes needing to be done.

Thanks

Hello,

Yesterday I tested in version 1.3.1-357_U2021.05.12-0551 2021-05-12 06-58-10, because a newer version was not available for me.
Everything worked there as I described.

Today I tested in version Open Rails 1.3.1-358_U2021.05.12-1906 2021-05-12 20-13-07
Diesel electric locomotives work correctly after save/load before cancel pause. All variants with ORTSTractionCharacteristics, ORTSMaxTractiveForceCurves and without. British Rails Class D16/2 #10203, cd_749, CD749 all OK.
Eng with ORTSMaxTractiveForceCurves is in the folder CD749. Eng with ORTSTractionCharacteristics is in the folder cd_749. Different engs for models of the same locomotives from different authors.

Electric locomotive with ORTSMaxTractiveForceCurves and without traction characteristic works correctly after save/load before canceling the pause.

But an electric locomotive with ORTSTractionCharacteristics after save/load before canceling the pause has zero traction forces.
csd 350015 what I have a link to in a previous post.
Axle drive force is zero
Axle out force is zero
When the pause is canceled, the traction forces cease to be zero.

The issue seems that for the electric locomotive the Power circuit seems to resume in the off position, hence no Axle Force is produced. (See the top section of your HuD screen to confirm the status of the power circuits.)

There seems to be some work being done on the Power circuits by a different developer, so I will need to hand this issue with the electric locomotive off to them to fix.

Hello Peter,

You have better eyes than me. Sorry to confused you with the differences between ORTSTractionCharacteristics and ORTSMaxTractiveForceCurves. Acela and my EMU does not have a circuit breaker defined in the eng file. After I commented on these parameters in the eng file csd 3500015
ORTSCircuitBreaker ( Manual )
ORTSCircuitBreakerClosingDelay ( 0.22s )
ORTSPowerOnDelay ( 1s )
ORTSAuxPowerOnDelay ( 18s )
the electric locomotive is working correctly after save/load and before canceling the pause.

Thank you for your time and work on this fix.

Peter's fix is now available also in OR NewYear MG rev. 99.

Hello

I tried it in version 99 with the locomotive csd350015 and it's still the same for me.

Before cancel the pause.

About a second after canceling the pause.

I tested again in the Open Rails version X1.3.1-360-ge1ec3002a-U2021.05.23-0236 2021-05-23 03-43-11. The csd350015 locomotive is working correctly.
