Hello everyone,

is it possible to disable the autopilot in an activity?

Hi,
Why isn't it enough not to press Alt-A?

As Carlo posted, Autopilot is OFF by default.

Good morning,

This is correct, but can be changed manually in OR options. What I would like is to disable the autopilot from the activity to make its use impossible by the player.

In fact, I created an activity in a very steep mountainous area that makes driving difficult. The goal is to respect the schedule, but with the autopilot it will not be possible.

This is a discussion which we've had before, though with no clear resolution.

There's a big job to be done in tidying up the options before we consider adding any restrictions.

I suspect so, and it was just a question in case I missed something.

Thanks for the answer.

Kindly

I would classify the autopilot feature as a user option, something for the user to choose how they wish to experience the content, and not something we should allow content creators to restrict.

Good morning,

it is another approach that has its reasons for being.

As an activity developer, I would not want autopilot to be restricted. I often use it when testing an activity, both for ease of testing as well as being able to run as the "ideal" driver/engineer to see how timetable times etc. work under optimum conditions. Having it arbitrarily restricted by a route builder would be inconvenient at least.
