Yes Weter, the route is the GN Hi-Line route; & there have been no updates to the route since 2009.

Soon, the train pulls into Fort Benton Big Sandy before getting underway.

Looks fine under ORTS even 10+ years later.
How do you think, is Montana scenery such empty IRL, or author just have to add some objects later to decorate it?
Marion branch is full of vegetation though.
Another surprise was seeing the SW 1200 as a mainline passenger loco (somehow, I always suppose, it's a yard shunter)

Weter, it depends on the part of the line one is on. There is plenty of scenery between Glacier Park & Whitefish, for example. Also, the engine is a NW2, which I had to use in place of the NW5 which pulled the train.

The train heads to the next stop.

Motor1, thanks for explanations. The train looks like nice-now I can see how authentic local trains looked there at late 1940-th.
But I still confused: is it unfinished decoration of the Havre-Great Falls line, or the praries there are really such empty :)

Weter, the prairies in Montana is mostly empty.

Soon, the train makes it's stop at Fort Benton (corrected previous stop to Big Sandy).

Soon, the train pulls into Great Falls at 4:30 PM. The train (called a pike-sized train due to the short consist) returns to Havre some hours later.
