In the level crossing options, I see an option "Silent Crossing - MSTS HAX" . This is the first time I have heard about this feature. Is it functional within TSRE? Is there any additional documentation on this? Does it work only with MSTS?

I want to make my level crossings completely silent, as they would have been in practice, hence this feature piqued my interest.

Any info would be much appreciated.

I'm the opposite in that I like to hear the crossing bells. Occasionally I encounter a silent crossing and when I go into TSRE I usually find the "silent crossing" box has been ticked on that crossing. So I think the answer is yes you can turn the bells on or off.

I use silent crossings for crossings with only a crossbuck sign, no lights, and no bell. You still need to place te crosing base and sink it below the terrain, but it will still stop traffic at the crossing.

Invisible crossings are best suited for use at passive crossings (no lights, gates, etc.). Silenced crossings are most often used at crossings with many active parts, to minimize the number of bell sounds to what that crossing actually needs (typically no more than a couple). Unless you have alternate sounds set up, every interactive shape will produce a bell sound. At larger crossings, this can result in an utter cacophony of bell sounds when there should only be a couple, hence the feature to silence unnecessary bell sounds

Thank you everyone. I have activated the feature on my level crossings and am happy with the results!
