It's November 3, 1936 (a couple months after our little trip up the Silverton Branch), K-37 #494 departs Durango 12:25 AM with 26 cars stock (20 came from the Farmington Branch). The crew is Conductor Fry, & Engineer Peterson.

At MP 436.75, RG 5599, a 30 foot stock car built in 1904 (& rebuilt in 1926) derails due to the front truck wheels climbed the rail on the curve.
