We have discovered that one of the Railroads from Virginia in the 1860s had a transfer table to service cars and locomotives at their machine shops.

is there a working Transfer Table that can operate similarly to a turn table ...in Open Rails? I am wondering if it might operate like a turntable but without the rotation... but move in a lateral motion onlyl.

i have no idea if it is possible but thought to ask.
