Been awhile since I messed with TSRE. Wanted to explore the activity editor tonight. Fired it up and navigated to Steve Davis' new RF&P route. But that is as far as I can get, I can't load it and continue in TSRE. There is no "load route" button. How do I fix this situation? It is like the screen size of TSRE is larger than my actual screen, but I can't resize the TSRE screen.
What do I do now?
This seems like such a rookie question!Attached File  2021-02-05 18_55_12-.jpg (345.06K)

Chris, I get a pull down list of the previous "profiles" and a "Browse" to find other "profiles". Then after I choose the profile I want I get a routes list and highlight the route in the list.

Chris,

From what I can see, you are not seeing the entire start-up screen. There should be a row of buttons across the bottom with a long rectangular "LOAD" button at the bottom directly below the route list.

Right. Can't see (or activate) the bottom buttons. But what to do about this?
Can't change the window size.

The way it works for me Chris is when I open TSRE I was clicking on the BROWSER bar, that would drop down and then I would have to navigate to the Train Simulator folder. After that TSRE has a "Resent" bar below the browser bar that has a drop down to the Train Simulator address.

You should be able to click on the address that goes to the Train Simulator folder and a list of your routes will be listed, select the one you want and then Load at the bottom.

Paul :-)

As a matter of interest, what is your screen resolution?

As the initial load form is not able to be resized, nor could I find a setting to resize it, you may be out of luck 'manually' loading a route.

However a workaround for you may be to edit the settings.txt file in the same folder as TSRE and instruct TSRE load the route you wan to edit on startup. You will then be able to resize the TSRE main form when the route is loaded.

In the example below, the game route folder is where my MSTS is installed and the route that I want to load on startup is USA2.

You will need to add these lines to the settings.txt file if not already present and change the path and route folder name to the route you wish to edit.

# main directory of your game data
gameRoot =D:\GAMES\TrainSim

# route directory name to load on startup by default
routeName = USA2

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
Thing is, this did work before and the consist editor has a similar load choice window that works just fine.

I have an HD screen resolution: 3840 x 2160

I have tried to resize the window using normal windows commands to no avail.

Have you checked the TSRE log to see if it has anything?

3840 x 2160 is 4k resolution.
There is no way the picture you show is 4k.
tres on my 4k screen is 1/3 of the height of the screen.

Change DPI in TSRE EXE file properties or use settings.txt trick to load a route.
