Hi!

Can you tell me, does OR support terrain-like (multitextured with microtex.ace) shader for shapes? It would be very useful for hand-made tracks with banks as it fits perfectly to the terrain.

Cheers, Szilárd

It would be handy for lots of things. I make a lot of large buildings -- way too large for traditional 1 texture does it all. So I use tiling textures, most often sized 8ft x 8ft. That will step and repeat an infinite distance and for things like brickwork, corrugated metal, roofing materials and the like it works perfectly well. But it's impossible to add dirt and grime in many of these because the pattern of the dirt and the underlying material is identical. When I try, most ofthe time the result is a much more obvious visual repeat. Being able to add a second layer using a completely different scale would conceal much of that obvious repeating patterns.
