In the most recent unstable version(s) of OR, when placing Freight Animations, the z direction appears to be negative moving forwards and positive moving backwards. This is the reverse of the convention used by Special Effects and does not seem logical. Thus if I enter

ORTSFreightAnims (

  FreightAnimStatic (
	SubType( Default )
	Shape( "..\\common.crew\\Steam_Crew\\driver01.s" )
	Offset( -0.95, 1.68, -5.06 ))

  FreightAnimStatic (
	SubType( Default )
	Shape( "..\\common.crew\\Steam_Crew\\fireman01.s" )
	Offset( 0, 1.44, -5.30 ))
    

The result looks like this:

Is this just a temporary 'bug' or will it remain like this for some reason?

Right or wrong, that's how all official and non-official OR versions behave. So, considering the amount of freightanims already developed, that's the rule: negative z axis = forward direction.
